1922 Neutral Zone created

1948 Kuwait granted petroleum concession to American Independent Oil Company (Aminoil)

1949 Saudi Arabia granted petroleum concession to Pacific Western Oil Corp. (Getty Oil Co)

1953 Oil discovered at Wafra field (Well # 4)

1954 Production in commercial quantities began

1955 First shipment of oil from Mina Saud

1960 Aminoil/Getty joint operating agreement

1965 Partitioning of the Neutral Zone agreed by the governments of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait

1970 Partitioning of the Neutral Zone put into effect on May 20

1977 Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) took over Aminoil's concession in the PNZ

1984 Texaco acquired Getty Oil Co

1990 Iraq invaded Kuwait

1991 The Company's re-entry team returned to Mina Saud and Wafra

1992 Production re-established

1993 The Company renamed Saudi Arabian Texaco Inc. (SAT)

1996 SAT celebrated the production of the billionth barrel from the onshore PNZ and the 60 year relationship between Texaco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

1999 Production reached new level, never seen before, from the onshore PNZ assets

2001 ChevronTexaco merger

2001 Record high production

2007 The Company renamed Saudi Arabian Chevron
